So let’s start by briefly touching the navigation of the website. As with the whole branding process, the front of the webshop is flooded with beautiful images representing the – even more impressive – clothing. But the navigation is a bit complicated. The item categories are divided into subcategories; basically, I couldn’t look at all sweaters at once but had to search for the type (thick knitwear, light knitwear & the icons). For me, this only reflects my way of shopping, so it depends on my personal preferences, but I like to look at all options and then filter as I see fit, so this is not my preferred way to surf online.
And… (laughs) although the product pictures are cute, I find that for many items, small details were indistinguishable and it was quite tricky to get a real feeling for how an object would look like in real life. I may be very picky, but I think ghost images are precious next to simple studio shots taken in front of the camera to show the front, side and back of the product when trying to sell a product to a customer (especially if it’s a purely online experience for the buyer), which can then be enhanced with campaign images in an editorial style.
Now, let’s get on with the delivery. What impressed me most was how quickly my order from Sezane arrived. If I remember correctly, it took less than a week from order confirmation to delivery, which surprised me a little, especially since delivery times tend to be delayed in the run-up to Christmas.
The items are beautifully packaged and made from recyclable materials, and each package has a personalized sticker indicating that it is for you only. This has really enriched the experience of buying from the brand and made unpacking my items a very special experience.
