WordPress plugins can help you make your website faster and more secure, increase your traffic, or save time.
The problem? There are thousands and thousands of plugins on the open market. There are about 60,000 plugins in the WordPress library alone!
Among them are many good plugins but also outdated once. But there are also many that you don’t need and do more harm than good to your website.
I have compiled this list of what I consider to be the best WordPress plugins of 2022.
Top 4 - Best WordPress Plugin 2022
Elementor is a popular page builder plugin for website creation for WordPress. The working principle is easy to understand and makes creating and designing your website more effortless.
Although the free version offers great features, the Pro version is worth a look.
Its pricing starts at USD 49/year, but we recommend the Expert plan for USD 199/year to create 25 websites.
Broken Link Checker monitors and tests all internal and external links of your website and looks for broken links. It helps you fix broken links to improve SEO and usability.
Just like any website owner, I am always interested in optimisations, especially when it comes to improving website load time.
The NitroPack tool is the ultimate solution for optimising the WordPress load time and core web vitals of your WordPress website.
Free up to only 5000 pageviews and 1GB of CDN bandwidth a month; generally, this will do.
I have tested all “Best WordPress Plugin 2022” extensively, found them to be good, and primarily used them on our website projects for several years.

Nitro Pack is the best!
Here is why:
-Their product site speed-increasing plugin increased my site speed. It was 18 on mobile and 50 on the desktop on page speed insights after installing and activating the Nitro Pack plugin, mobile became 80, and desktop 99, isn’t it awesome? I don’t do coding, just two clicks, and my site speed is like thunder; by the way, it did not impact my site front end, and nothing was broken.
-I use the accessible version of their plugin. Despite this, they always treat me well when I have a question
-Their support service is SUPER FAST REPLYING, SUPER CAREFULL, SUPPER EXPERT, MEGA KIND!!! I repeat, I have a free version; nevertheless, they are cautious.
So even if such care makes me a premium user, I will soon buy that version.
Thank you for your list of the best WordPress plugins. Very helpful for me.
Excellent plugin to optimize the loading speed of your website. The NitroPack support is very reactive and very efficient to debug some display problems on our site.
First of all! Nitropack is one hell of an awesome plugin! The only plugin that can make your site “a lot” faster. Furthermore, they have the most excellent customer support. Quick answers and a problem-solving mindset. I love that! My biggest recommendation to the team behind Nitropack.
I’ve been using this plugin for about two years. Everything works perfectly. Also, I have a problem with other plugins, which stopped working after Nitropack cached my website. I wrote to Nitropack’s support team, and the same day, the problem was solved!
I thought the plugin was great. It does an outstanding job of increasing the speed of a website. This is true across all browsers, with the best experience on Firefox and mobile. Unfortunately, it did not work out for me, and I had to get a refund for the plugin.
Since the servers are in Europe, it broke my mobile theme. Every time there was a change on the NitroPack side, my mobile site would start to display pricing in Euros, while my desktop website would still show my pricing in USD. I live in the USA, with 99% of my customers, so that was not working out for me.
I advertise heavily with Google Ads, and it was causing a lot of issues there and also confusion with my customers. This is why I gave the plugin four stars instead of 5. I also live in California, which has some strict privacy laws, and since I cannot control my data flowing outside the USA, that was another deal breaker. The servers need to reside in the USA for me to comply.
If the company ever sets up servers in the USA, I think it would be a great plugin, and I would most likely return as a customer. Now, I am falling back on my SiteGround Optimization plugin that comes Free with the Siteground suite of WordPress tools. It is not as good as NitroPack, but a lot better than WP Rocket, and it is free.
NitroPack support always does everything required to ensure our site consistently scores in the 90s @ Google PageSpeed Insights, often reaching 100.
I recommend them for business and private websites.
NitroPack is hands down the best caching plugin for WordPress + Elementor. It’s super easy to set up, and most of the time, it’s set and forget.
But now and then, I need a bit of help. This is where the fantastic support team comes in. They’re super friendly and help solve the problem.
This means I can focus on running my business, not cutting my teeth as a WordPress developer.
I highly recommend using NitroPack.
Nothing wrong to report. It even tells you the link’s text, so you can quickly check the part of the page that got the issue. But you can also fix the link directly from the plugin page. Handy plugin.
Broken Link Checker
This excellent plugin saved me hours of work checking the links on my website. Neat that it also contains links from others placed in comments.
Again, excellent, brilliant!
Yoast SEO is a perfect On-page SEO Plugin. Last two years, I used this plugin for my website’s On-page SEO. And I am satisfied with its performance.
Yoast is a wonderful SEO solution. Thank you for the such a helpful plugin.
I am no SEO expert, but with the Yoast plugin, I do all the necessary optimizations with just a few clicks. The free version is more than enough for my projects; I use it on all my websites. Thanks a lot!
I like the helpful information you provide in your articles.
I will bookmark your weblog and check again here frequently.
I am pretty sure I will learn lots of new stuff right here!
Best of luck for the next!
Broken Link Checker: Really easy-to-use plugin – does just what it says!
The update to version 19.9 is causing site errors with WordPress 6.0.3. For the editor, blocks are not working and are all messed up. Once the Yoast SEO plugin is disabled, everything is back to normal. So foreword warning only updates to 19.9 if you need to. If the devs don’t or can’t resolve this, I guess going to have to look for another SEO plugin.
Everything was working fine before updating to Yoast SEO 19.9 with WordPress 6.0.3.
Yoast: Best SEO plugin, provides incredible functionality! I don’t know if people are visiting the page searching for my name and pictures or if Yoast made me an SEO expert.
Your plugins are my standard plugins!
I love the broken link checker plugin. It is incredibly intuitive and makes it easy to check on the status of your links and quickly address any issues from within the plugin.
Check out Photo Gallery by Ays – Responsive Image Gallery for your following review. It is a great photo gallery.
Yoast: The plugin is great but can’t wait to see it compatible with PHP 8.1. So far it produces too many warnings, errors, etc
The developers of Nitropack have demonstrated their understanding of what the WordPress Community is looking for in a cache and site speed plugin. They are definitely on the right path, and we are looking to implement their plugin on client sites as it is phenomenal at what it does.
We have tested on various sites, and some sites work better than others with the plugin installed. I believe the areas that aren’t working, as well as the others, have more to do with my knowledge and understanding of implementation on a granular level.
With that being said, there is some more work to be done. But do not let that stop you from giving this plugin a test drive. This plugin will quickly become the gold standard of WordPress Caching and Speed plugins. These guys deserve all the greatness that will come their way with this plugin.
Wishing the developers much success as they continue pushing the envelope.
The Performance Lab plugin is a collection of modules focused on enhancing your site’s performance, most of which should eventually be merged into WordPress core. The plugin allows us to individually enable and test the modules to get their benefits before they become available in WordPress core and to provide feedback to improve the solutions further.
Please consider it.
To this day, I dream of having a perfect page speed score.
Our site is a news portal with more than 5k users simultaneously every minute, and we have many external scripts (partners, ads, social scripts, Google scripts, etc.).
Despite that, now our full load page takes only 1.2 sec (it used to be 5.3 sec)
I’m impressed; it kind of looks like magic. Nitropack is pretty much set up by itself, and when I need support, they solve my problems in minutes. It’s nice to see a cache plugin delivering this much. My site is now blazzy fast.
I have a lot of love for and frustration with NitroPack. They have an excellent concept for a better way to increase performance. But it needs a lot of work…it has already crashed 3 of my websites during activation or upgrades. There are reports in the community of a lot of instability.
When it works, it outperforms any combination of products I’ve ever used (even WP Rocket!). And it’s undoubtedly the easiest to use. But it’s far too unreliable at this stage to trust commercial websites requiring lots of stability. I’ve heard this same comment throughout the development community. To NitroPack’s credit, they seem to be trying…they respond very quickly to requests via FB Messenger.
For now, I recommend you test the free version (up to 5 websites) on non-live sites and make sure you’re backed up before installing or updating.
Even so, I’m following them closely…there’s a ton of promise and potential for NitroPack to be the breakthrough performance plugin we’ve been waiting for. It’s just not there yet.
Nitropack is superfast when you set it up; it’s easy to set up. I don’t know how they do it, but I never had such a good score on Gtmetrix or page speed with any other plugin.
Have four websites on the free service as a test. One website started showing incomplete content – only on the landing page. I had some teething problems with customer service, which was then taken over by one of the co-founders, and the response was much better.
They have looked into it in great detail and found where the problem was – unrelated to Nitropack.
This went from a bad experience (employee in training) to a great experience.
Thank you for considering the broken link checker.
Nitropack plugin should be mandatory.
The fastest optimization plugin that is available.
Huge speed scores and fantastic support.
Why would you use anything else?
Beispiele für sinnvolle Starter-Themes für Elementor wären: Hello Theme, OceanWP, Astra oder auch GeneratePress.
I have also been working with Elementor for the most part for a few years and am 100% convinced of this page builder. I especially like the fact that customers can easily manage their page on their own after the handover – without a lot of training 🙂
I really like Elementor
The Yoast Premium “Internal Links Manager” helped improve my clients’ rankings for category pages on his online shop. Before we used Yoast SEO Premium, we had essential keywords rank on either product or blog pages, which was not the intention. Using this efficient tool, we achieved clean link hygiene and made it easy for Google to understand which pages to rank for which key phrase. Users with low SEO experience can handle this feature easily and practically!
The free version of Yoast SEO gives you lots of tools to help you do well in the search results. Yoast SEO Premium makes many tasks much easier. Literally this is why I pay for it. I COULD do everything myself, but it’s worth not 🙂
The broken link plug-in works most of the time excellently. I install it on almost all of my websites and client websites. However, I cannot praise it entirely because there is no way to filter out specific links so they do not get detected as broken. Specifically, I’m referring to Amazon affiliate links to products on amazon.com. The amount of times every single day, multiple times a day, that I have to check off that these links are not broken is very annoying.
I am so happy with Nitropack’s optimization results, and I applaud their excellent support.
I ran into a problem with wpform submission caused by a token issue with Nitropack caching. Their support team looked into my situation and patiently guided me to solve it—a thumb up to them.
I love elementor as it’s very easy to use. It’s slick and sharp to use, with great features like copy and paste which makes it a breeze to use elements from other pages.
I actually agree with the assessment. There are one day wonders in this area, but suddenly you don’t get updates anymore.
